The From Music Co EventsDecember 10-The From Music Co. will be putting on a concert benefiting Toys for Tots of Dane County. The concert will be at the Madison Music Foundry located at 2818 Index Rd. in fitchburg. It will be a recital with all solo guitar music from various regions all around the world. There is noo tickets charge, jsut bring a toy, drop it in the bin and make somene's christmas a little better.April 2-The From Music Co., a Madison based nonprofit, is putting on a recital Saturday, April 2 at 3:30 p.m.. The recital will be held at Ward-Brodt Music Mall and features Ward-Brodt guitar instructor and From Music Co. director, Rockwell Windsor Rice. The recital program consists of guitar music from all around the world with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Red Cross’s Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami relief fund. The Program consists of solo guitar music from turkey, Japan, South America and North America. So, join us for an afternoon of exotic, beautiful, International guitar music benefiting an international cause.March 28th-On March 28th The From Music Co. will be hosting an access hour on WORT 89.9, a local radio station out of Madison, WI. to get the word out about the project.December 12-Toys for Tots benefit recital. This recital was at Ward-Brodt Music mall. The weather outlook was bad with a forcasted ice storm beginning at the same time as the recital. People still came out and enjoyed the show however, ensuring that christmas will be better for some girls and boys this year. Check out The From Music Co. on facebook to see pictures and videos from the performance.June 25-Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern WI. Benfit. This recital was at the Monona Terrace. Over all it went well. There was a good turn out and a solid amount of money was raised. This was my first recital for The From Music Co. and it was a good beginning to a long journey. The mission of The From Music Company is now primarily realized through the use of performances as benefits in which all proceeds are donated. Admission to performances is often more a barter than a purchase. Nonperishable food items, clothes, school supplies are all examples of goods that can be donated directly and are all examples of items that can be used to gain admission to performances depending on the benefactor of the performance.

The trial lesson is 20$. He holds a Masters Degree from UW Madison where he studied under Javier Calderon. He also holds a B.A. in music from UW Whitewater where he studied with George Lindquist. Rockwell also is a guitar teacher in Madison WI. who teaches at the Madison Music Foundry and at Rhapsody Arts center in Verona WI. He has taught guitar lessons in Madison WI. for the last 6 years.
